This is an exciting opportunity to join the Central Resourcing & Coordination Team as a Central Coordination Resourcer within the Metropolitan Police.
MO6 is a multi-faceted OCU that not only plans and delivers all policing plans in response to spontaneous and pre-planned events in London, we are also responsible for the delivery of all CARM related work such as yearly roster renewals, shift pattern changes, the movement of staff around the MPS, CARM access, overtime, pay queries and the management of annual leave and rest days.
The Role
As a Central Coordination Resourcer within the Central Resourcing and Coordination Team, you will collaborate with the MO6 planning team to ensure that appropriate MPS resources (BCU & non-BCU) are utilised at each public order event across London. You will have a key role in efficient use of the Public Order fleet used for public order AID. You will assist with the management of mutual AID - supplying police officers & police equipment and/or policing services from one force to another, ensuring that the planning and deployment of the operation is conducted professionally & at pace.
Working for the Met doesn\'t have to mean patrolling the streets. Just as important as our uniformed officers is our 14,000-strong team of professional and support staff working behind the scenes. It\'s these skilled people who provide the organisational capability to police London.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Allocate resources (police officers & police staff) with the required skills to meet central aid requests, maintaining resilience across all other Command Units, so that operational coverage is not compromised.
- Liaise with local Senior Leadership Teams to balance abstractions and ensure deployments represent best value to the organisation.
- Coordinate with the MO6 Operational Planning team and the Real Time Resources Desk to respond to spontaneous public order or emergency demands, ensuring resources are deployed effectively.
- Support the administration of aid distribution, such as the public order carrier and minibus fleet scheduling so resources are available for operational use.
- Apply judgement to determine which resourcing issues require escalation, ensuring matters outside own authority are referred appropriately.
- Contribute to team-based service delivery through shared workload and consistent standards of written and verbal communication.
Benefits
You will enjoy the kind of great benefits that you\'d expect from one of London\'s largest employers.
These include:
- Annual leave entitlement of 28 days plus
