Salary: The starting salary is £48,995, which includes allowances totalling £3,009. The salary is broken down as £45,986 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £54,863. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Central to this is our Business Design practice who combine strategy, organisation design, and management consulting expertise to help define the future shape of CTP and drive transformational change. What is the job role and purpose? As a Business Design Analyst you’ll leverage new technologies, varied datasets, and specialist operational knowledge to undertake detailed analyses and develop evidence based solutions to some of CTP’s most complex challenges. You’ll collaborate and build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders from across the public sector, playing a pivotal role in reacting and reshaping the country’s CT approach.

What will be your key roles and responsibilities?

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to define organisational problems, design appropriate solutions, and determine the impact of both on CTP’s operating model.
• Support the translation of complex organisational problems and solutions into simple compelling narratives that achieve broad business consensus.
• Lead in the organisation of workshops, stakeholder engagement and other relevant meetings and boards.
• Proactively assist in maturing the business design practice, expanding your own and others’ skillset, providing assurance, and developing new approaches.

Who will the role holder need to work closely with?

• The Business Design Team, participating in team knowledge sharing and contributing to the development of the Business Design offering within CTPHQ.
• Officers and Staff across the CTP Network, to gain an understanding of their operational requirements, challenges and opportunities.
• Programme and Project Teams to ensure that Business Design Activity is fully understood and incorporated into the Project Plan and activities.
• Other members of staff within the CTPHQ Change Pillar, particularly in the Project and Programme Management, Business Change and Benefits teams.
• Strategy and Performance colleagues to identify the drivers for organisational change, and to gain appropriate management information to identify and evidence the need for change.
• Finance, HR and Communications business partners within CTPHQ to collate data, identify and manage ‘people’ impacts as part of design activity.

What training will I be provided in this role? Changing the way that CTP operates is not a ‘cookie cutter’ process, so we want to ensure that all staff have a diverse toolkit that they can leverage when tackling business challenges. Additional Information: This role does not attract Shift Disturbance Allowance. If you are currently in a shift-working role, SDA should cease upon appointment to this job.

Vetting: This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Developed Vetting (DV) level before taking up the post.
