What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our People team on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract, starting ASAP. This role will focus on managing a high volume of employee relations casework, partnering closely with line managers to provide expert guidance, ensure compliance, and deliver efficient, high-quality outcomes across a range of ER matters.
Main Responsibilities
- Support line managers on case approach and guide them through each stage of the employee relations lifecycle for low to medium complexity cases (up to dismissal level)
- Take ownership of day-to-day ER casework, including sickness absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, probation, attendance and lateness, and policy queries
- Ensure all cases are managed in line with company policy, employment legislation, and best practice
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and compliant documentation for all ER cases
- Drive efficient case management, minimising timelines from case initiation through to resolution while maintaining quality and fairness
- Support the rollout and embedding of a tiered ER service delivery model for line managers
Who You Are
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases end-to-end in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Confident advising and influencing line managers at varying levels
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and documentation standards
- Able to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistency
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working independently
