This is an opportunity to join the Engineering department at our Hyde Road depot as a Cleaner. You will support the depot management team by maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment for colleagues, stakeholders and the wider Greater Manchester community.
Responsibilities
- Keep the relevant work area clean and tidy, and clean up spillages in accordance with Metroline’s Health and Safety policy and procedures.
- Wash the exterior of all buses using the automatic bus wash, and wash wheels and skirt panels by hand.
- Maintain the cleanliness of company vehicles to a high standard using mechanical, electrical and manual cleaning equipment.
- Keep records and documents up to date as required by Metroline.
- Apply safe practices for mechanical and manual equipment and for handling highly corrosive and toxic materials in compliance with COSHH regulations.
- Maintain the standards required by Metroline Manchester.
Qualifications
- Possession or willingness to obtain a suitable qualification (e.g., NVQ level 1).
- Driving licence (preferably PCV) desirable.
