About us
We’re Metroline Manchester, the newest addition to the Bee Network, buzzing in Greater Manchester since January! Back in March, we were thrilled to have won four franchise contracts by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) – and just like that, we got to work bringing our services to life. We now operate over routes on behalf of Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) from Hyde Road (Head Office), Tameside, Sharston and Wythenshawe depots. Our drivers are at the heart of the communities we serve—getting customers safely to the places and people that matter most, while delivering an enjoyable and reliable journey every time.
Job Summary
- Pay: £18 per hour (higher rate for weekends & Bank Holidays)
- Monday to Friday School Routes (Split Shifts between 6am – 8pm)
- Part time Weekends only (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- 5 days over 7 (Mixture of early/mid/late shift, Split Shifts and Weekends)
Responsibilities
- Ensure your bus is clean, safe, and roadworthy
- Drive safely and professionally in line with road traffic legislation
- Carry out challenging manoeuvres confidently and competently
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive, can-do attitude
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism at all times
- Work closely with colleagues, management, and support teams to exceed performance targets
- Identify and report any vehicle or service improvements

Essential Criteria
- A friendly, customer-focused approach
- Flexibility for early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
- A full PCV licence and up-to-date CPC
- The right to work in the UK
- No more than 6 points on your driving licence*

Hours of Work
Full time permanent contract 38 hours per week – 5 working days a week. Shift work – flexibility required to work early starts, late finishes and weekends.
