Currently carrying over 1 million people in London every day, our main focus is to become the best London bus company in London. Metroline employs over 4,500 people, mostly based in London and operates 12 garages across London, with Cricklewood being the head office.

Job Summary

Focusing on financial performance and revenue and cost management, providing support for the business for backward looking performance management and forward-looking reforecasts and budgets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development of annual budgets, and interim forecasts according to the Group guidelines.
  • Understanding the key factors impacting the performance of the business and working with the Head of Finance and business leaders to drive performance.
  • Engaging with finance and non-finance colleagues across the business to maximise support to performance improvement initiatives.
  • Producing financial and non-financial KPI targets for key stakeholders and the monitoring and reporting of performance.
  • Supporting the period end closure process with variance analysis and reports ensuring that the board and management has a full understanding of the company financial and operational performance.
  • Expanding the use of data and data analytics utilising existing systems and reporting tools to expand existing suite of performance reporting.

  • Ability to collate and interpret statistical data.
  • Able to build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders/suppliers.
  • An understanding/appreciation of the service requirements and the management of day to day operational issues.
  • Ability to influence and persuade key decision makers.
  • Management reporting and budgeting experience.
  • Team player committed to ensuring that the overall team and business objectives are met.
  • Qualified Accountant: ACCA / CIMA / ACA.

Hours of Work

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
