Job summary: To provide HR support to all ComfortDelGro UK business units.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice to all UK business units as required on issues such as attendance, capability issues, disciplinaries, flexible working etc.
  • Undertake meetings such as investigations, grievances as required.
  • Provide cover for Head of Human Resources at meetings and/or during periods of annual leave.
  • Assist Head of Human Resources with complex employee relations cases/queries.
  • Assist company solicitor and work closely with HR Administrator with ECRs/ET claims.
  • Manage key relationships within the business, working closely with managers as well as building strong working relationships with the Trade Unions.
  • Prepare monthly HR Report.
  • Develop and co-ordinate Company policies and procedures, working with both Senior Managers and the Trade Unions.
  • Keep up to date with employment law to ensure that any advice given is accurate and relevant.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as required.
  • Develop suite of standard letters and any other HR related document to ensure they are fit for purpose and in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Co-ordinate performance management system ensuring annual and six monthly reviews are undertaken.
  • Take responsibility for own continuous personal development.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience of providing HR advice to various levels of management across the spectrum of HR issues including absence, disciplinaries, grievances etc.
  • CIPD Level 5 or working towards.
  • Discreet when managing confidential matters.
  • Excellent administrative skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Able to effectively manage a demanding workload and multiple priorities.
  • Flexible with regards to working extra hours as and when required.
  • Experience of working within the transport industry (desirable).
