We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised Assistant Store Manager to join the team. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with a genuine passion for customer experience, strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment. You’ll support the Store Manager in driving performance, leading the team and ensuring every customer receives an exceptional, high-quality experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales performance and achieve store KPIs
- Deliver exceptional, above‑and‑beyond customer service at all times
- Lead, motivate and support the team to maintain a positive working environment
- Manage appointments, collections and customer enquiries
- Handle customer issues professionally, protecting the overall customer journey
- Maintain accurate administration including records, payment plans and systems
- Liaise with suppliers and track orders effectively
- Ensure the store is always clean, organised and presented to a high standard
- Support day‑to‑day store operations alongside the Store Manager
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail or sales
- Previous management or supervisory experience (essential)
- Strong leadership skills with confidence managing people
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to resolve conflict calmly and professionally
- A customer‑first mindset with high standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
- Flexibility to work Metrocentre trading hours, including evenings and weekends
