We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised Assistant Store Manager to join the team. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with a genuine passion for customer experience, strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment. You’ll support the Store Manager in driving performance, leading the team and ensuring every customer receives an exceptional, high-quality experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance and achieve store KPIs
  • Deliver exceptional, above‑and‑beyond customer service at all times
  • Lead, motivate and support the team to maintain a positive working environment
  • Manage appointments, collections and customer enquiries
  • Handle customer issues professionally, protecting the overall customer journey
  • Maintain accurate administration including records, payment plans and systems
  • Liaise with suppliers and track orders effectively
  • Ensure the store is always clean, organised and presented to a high standard
  • Support day‑to‑day store operations alongside the Store Manager

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail or sales
  • Previous management or supervisory experience (essential)
  • Strong leadership skills with confidence managing people
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to resolve conflict calmly and professionally
  • A customer‑first mindset with high standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Flexibility to work Metrocentre trading hours, including evenings and weekends
