We’re looking for a proactive and results-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team based at our Birmingham HQ. This role will focus heavily on direct sourcing and building strong talent pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter and other channels, alongside partnering closely with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to understand hiring needs and provide market insight. The successful candidate will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from candidate attraction and screening through to offer communication and acceptance, ensuring an efficient, compliant, and positive candidate experience while supporting the business in achieving its growth objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively source high-quality candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other direct sourcing channels, building strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Manage the end-to-end candidate journey, delivering a positive and engaging experience from initial contact through to offer acceptance.
  • Conduct initial screening calls to assess candidate suitability, skills, and cultural fit against role requirements.
  • Partner with hiring managers to shortlist candidates, ensuring strong alignment between business needs and candidate profiles.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, providing guidance to both candidates and interviewers to ensure a smooth and professional process.
  • Communicate verbal offers to candidates and agencies, supporting hiring managers through the offer stage and ensuring timely acceptance.
  • Oversee relationships with external recruitment agencies, ensuring effective collaboration, cost control, and quality of candidate submissions.
  • Ensure recruitment processes are compliant with internal policies and relevant employment legislation, while maintaining accurate records and reporting.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships by providing market insights, talent intelligence, and advice on recruitment challenges and hiring strategies.
  • Produce regular recruitment reports and analytics, highlighting progress, trends, and areas for improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in an internal recruitment or talent acquisition role, with a strong track record of direct sourcing and candidate engagement.
  • Demonstrable expertise in using LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques to identify and attract high-quality talent across multiple channels.
  • Experience building and managing candidate pipelines for both immediate vacancies and future hiring needs.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and senior leaders, providing insight, challenge, and guidance on hiring strategies.
  • Ability to assess and match candidates to role requirements through effective screening, shortlisting, and competency-based evaluation.
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including interview coordination, offer management, and candidate negotiations.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Experience within logistics, shipping, or a related industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
