Metro Supply Chain UK are looking for a Warehouse Administrator to join our friendly Saxham team. This role is an important link between our customer and the warehouse, ensuring customer queries are responded to quickly, with any actions communicated to the team appropriately. We are looking for someone with excellent written and spoken English, who is able to be proactive with communication between us and our client. While warehouse experience isn’t essential, an understanding of logistics operations would be very advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaise with suppliers in line with warehousing requirements such as parcel carriers, transport providers etc.
  • Produce specific reports as required by line manager.
  • Record daily dispatch information as per Customer requirements.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
  • Make a difference to the customer, delivering high levels of service with minimal supervision.
  • Respond to customer telephone calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Respond to customer e-mails professionally and proficiently.
  • Provide customer with information relating to their requests in relation to the warehousing and dispatch of their products.
  • Understand specific customer requirements and action accordingly.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to tasks and workload.
  • Manage time proficiently to meet customer / stakeholder requirements.
  • Update and complete customer online portals where necessary.
  • Support other staff members where their knowledge or skills are more limited.

  • Without compromise maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Report any hazards in the workplace to management immediately.
  • Complete all training provided in a timely manner.
  • Follow all laws and policies applicable.

EXPERIENCE:

We would like to see experience of working in a customer-facing environment, and this can come from a range of scenarios. If you have experience in a warehouse then that’s great, but not essential.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

The role’s core focus is communication with the customer and stakeholders, so a strong level of English (both written and spoken) is essential. We would like to see the ability to prioritise tasks, making sure we keep the customer at the core of what we do.
