Job Opportunity: Security Sales Executive Metro Security (GB) Plc - Romford, Essex, UK (Office/Field-Based)
Are you a results-driven sales professional with an understanding of security and fire systems? Metro Security (GB) Plc is seeking a dedicated Security Sales Team Member to join our dynamic team and drive significant growth.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of a sales territory, working to generate new business while also nurturing opportunities within our existing client database. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, working closely with our internal teams to deliver exceptional service from initial concept through to project completion.
- Business Development: Proactively identify and secure new customers through cold calling, networking, and strategic outreach.
- Account Management: Effectively manage and grow relationships with existing clients, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- System Design & Proposals: Conduct site surveys, assess client security needs, and design comprehensive, bespoke solutions. You will be fully supported by our in-house development team to provide both off-the-shelf products as well as bespoke tailor-made solutions developed for specialist sectors including AI and advanced monitoring solutions, forecourt monitoring and the fuel industry, warehouse and large building security, and remote technical monitoring.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the Projects, Installation, and technical teams, as well as our in-house 24-hour Monitoring and Technical Control Room, to ensure a smooth handover and successful delivery of sold contracts.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain expert-level knowledge of our service offerings, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly KPI and targets.
Skills & Experience Required
- Sales experience within the security industry is recommended but not essential.
- Technical knowledge of modern Intruder Alarm Systems and Fire Alarm Systems (e.g., British Standards, system components, installation requirements).
- Experience or exposure to specialist sectors (AI, fuel industry, remote monitoring) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in both hunter (new business) and farmer (account management) sales roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office suite and Design tools desirable but not essential.
- A valid UK driving licence is required.
