Metro Rod works with various companies in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors. We are a fast-growing and dynamic business and part of an ever-expanding group Franchise Brands. Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis.
We are seeking a General Assistant to support our Drainage Engineers and Tanker Drivers. This role will provide you with training in order to move into a Drainage Engineer position further down the line. This would ideally suit someone from a civils/ground working background. We will provide full training - working towards becoming an Engineer within 6-12 months.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- To support our Engineers in carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer’s drains
- To deliver an exceptional standard of customer service
- To ensure you work in accordance with H&S and Quality Assurance procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times

- Be willing to work some unsociable hours. Overtime rate is £19 per hour.
- Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors
