Location: Isle of Wight. Salary £15-£20 per hour DOE plus overtime, on-call & benefits. Metro Rod (Isle of Wight) provides professional drainage services across the Isle of Wight. Our customers include big national brands, local commercial customers, social housing providers, charities and domestic customers. Founded in 1983, Metro Rod is a leading provider of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis. We have been clearing and unblocking drains for more than thirty years and we’re proud of our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.

What does the job entail?
- Responding to reactive drainage issues (blockages, backups, faults)
- High-pressure water jetting and drain clearance
- Internal & external CCTV surveys and fault diagnosis
- Minor dig-ups & repairs carrying out small excavations and small civils works
- No-dig localised liner installation and inversion liners
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
- Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications
- Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times.
What experience do we look for?
- Proven experience in reactive drainage and civils/drainage repairs
- Strong knowledge of drainage systems and fault finding
- Experience with excavation and reinstatement works
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Streetworks (NRSWA) and/or medium risk confined space (desirable)
