Job Overview
We are seeking a General Assistant to support our Drainage Engineers and Tanker Drivers. This role provides training to progress into a Drainage Engineer position over 6‑12 months and is ideal for individuals with a civil/ground working background.
Responsibilities
- Support Engineers in cleaning, clearing, repairing, and maintaining customers’ drains.
- Deliver an exceptional standard of customer service.
- Work in accordance with health & safety and quality assurance procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent service at all times.
Qualifications
- Positive, flexible, can‑do attitude.
- Willingness to work unsociable hours.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors.
- Interest and desire to progress within the drainage industry.
- Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 drainage or equivalent.
- Full clean UK driving licence and own vehicle.
