£27,000-£30,000 DOE plus benefits. Metro Rod Northern Ireland – East Kilbride 8am-5pm Mon-Fri. We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our busy office based in East Kilbride. The role would suit someone who has worked within a busy office environment where a “roll your sleeves up” approach has been a given. You will have the opportunity to liaise daily with internal and external customers, and will be involved in a variety of duties supporting this small but busy office.

What does it entail?

  • Working day to day with our Engineers, you will help keep them organised by scheduling work and handling the relevant administration involved.
  • You will work closely with your colleagues and external customers (domestic and commercial) to provide a first‑class service.
  • This role requires someone who is confident in working with engineers (or similar) as well as managing internal and external relationships.

What do we look for?

  • Proven experience within administration and customer service – ideally within a construction, engineering or similar blue‑collar environment.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Strong administration and IT skills – using Microsoft packages.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and ability to prioritise work.
  • Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to multi‑task.
  • Ability to cover some on‑call work (manning the phone between 5pm and 7pm on some weekdays and sporadic weekends).
