Company founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services. The services are delivered largely on a reactive basis across the UK by over 60 franchisees. We have been clearing and unblocking drains for more than thirty years and pride ourselves on quality service and customer satisfaction. Major companies and leading high-street names trust us. Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, we also operate Willow Pumps and Filta, focusing on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions – a one-stop shop for water & waste.
Position: Technical Manager – Metro Rod Merseyside – Bootle, Permanent, office based.
Responsibilities:
- Review CCTV footage and compile relevant reports.
- Carry out site surveys.
- Compile further recommendations from our vision system after a reactive job and when further work is suggested.
- Liaise with customers and engineers on a daily basis.
- Organise and order any equipment required for the work.
- Use the in-house system to log all jobs, quotes and relevant information and maintain this information on an ongoing basis.
- Manage paperwork for financial and compliance requirements.
- Ensure any SLA’s are adhered to.
- Prepare site plans (training can be given).
Qualifications:
- Someone from a drainage background who would like to move into an office-based role and who also has a good level of admin/customer service skills.
- Experience with CCTV and drainage surveys.
- Experience providing quotes.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Strong administration and IT skills – using Microsoft packages.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
