Salary: £35,000 plus overtime, on-call & benefits (OTE up to 45K)

Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis.

What does it entail?

  • Responding to reactive drainage issues (blockages, backups, faults)
  • High‑pressure water jetting and drain clearance
  • CCTV surveys and fault diagnosis
  • Carrying out repairs, excavations and small civils works
  • Installing and replacing drainage systems
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
  • Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications
  • Communicating effectively with high‑profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service at all times

What experience do we look for?

  • Proven experience in reactive drainage and civils/drainage repairs
  • Strong knowledge of drainage systems and fault finding
  • Experience with excavation and reinstatement works
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Streetworks (NRSWA) and/or confined space training (desirable)
  • Must live in the GL area
  • This role is subject to a satisfactory basic DBS check
