Field Service Engineer Metro Rod North East Northumberland, Newcastle, Durham, Teeside Full time permanent Salary £38,000 - £42,000 depending on experience plus benefits & overtime.
Responsibilities:
- As a Pump Service Engineer, you will work on a range of pumps and associated equipment.
- Perform general electrical and mechanical engineering duties to ensure that our pump systems are operating as specified.
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, commissioning and installations of our pump stations and associated equipment on a nation‑wide basis.
- Work on client sites performing general electrical and mechanical engineering duties.
- Participate in our Emergency Call Out Rota.
- Work with grey water and effluent systems and work within confined spaces.
- Communicate effectively with the service team, providing reports and photos of pumps and associated equipment, with the use of a PDA and mobile phone.
- Provide positive and helpful disposition and professionally communicate with customers.
- Work independently or as a member of a team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience of working with grey water and effluent systems/ submersible pumping stations.
- Mechanical and Electrical skills.
- 18th Edition qualification.
- Ideally 3-5 years' experience in pump maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills for centrifugal pumps and submersible sewage pumps.
- Experience lifting, replacing, and installing pumps and associated pipework.
- Full clean UK Driving Licence.
- Good mechanical and electrical skills.
- The ability to work remotely.
- Flexibility to work on our Emergency Call‑Out Rota.
- Mature communication skills.
- The ability to deal professionally with customers.
