HGV Tanker Driver (HGV Class 2) West Yorkshire • £16-20 per hour plus overtime • 45+ hours per week
Metro Rod works with the likes of Equans, Amey, Aldi, Mitie, Greggs, McDonalds, Wetherspoons and many more in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors. Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis. We’ve been clearing and unblocking drains for more than thirty years and we’re proud of our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.
What’s involved?
- Operating our Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker unit
- Carrying out a range of services associated with the tankers, cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customer’s drainage systems
- Delivering an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
- Predominantly carrying out pre‑planned maintenance works and in some cases emergency reactive work
The ideal candidate would be someone who has prior experience working for a water board using a Cityflex tanker.
The Person:
- An experienced HGV Driver Class 2 with sector experience in drainage
- Ideally experience driving a Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker
- Strong communication skills
- IT Literacy including smart phone technology
- CSCS, HPWJ, Confined Spaces and associated cards (preferred)
- A positive, flexible, can‑do attitude
- Willing to work occasional/unsociable hours, weekends/nights
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- HGV Class 2 driving licence
- Team player
