Salary: DOE plus overtime, on-call and benefits

With over 60 franchisees across the UK, we have been clearing and unblocking drains for more than thirty years. Major companies and leading high street names trust us for regular drain maintenance.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who thrives in both reactive drainage work and planned civil projects. If you enjoy problem-solving on-site and want to be part of a supportive, fast-paced business, we want to hear from you.

What does it entail?

  • Responding to reactive drainage issues (blockages, backups, faults)
  • High-pressure water jetting and drain clearance
  • CCTV surveys and fault diagnosis
  • Carrying out repairs, excavations, and small civil works
  • Installing and replacing drainage systems
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
  • Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications
  • Communicating effectively with high-profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times

What experience do we look for?

  • Proven experience in reactive drainage and civil/drainage repairs
  • Strong knowledge of drainage systems and fault finding
  • Experience with excavation and reinstatement works
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Streetworks (NRSWA) and/or confined space training (desirable)
  • Must live in the Carlisle area
