Metro Rod works with the likes of Equans, Amey, Aldi, Mitie, Greggs, McDonalds, Wetherspoons and many more in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors. Location: Depot based in Welshpool, Mid Wales & Shropshire.

Salary: DOE plus overtime, on‑call & benefits.

Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services. The services are delivered by over 60 franchisees across the UK. Within the Waste & Water Services Division, we also run Willow Pumps and Filta, focusing on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions.

What does it entail?

  • Carry out a range of services associated with tankers, including cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of customer drains.
  • Deliver an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S and Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Maintain the branded company service vehicle and equipment to the highest standards.
  • Accurately record work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service at all times.

What experience do we look for?

  • Be an experienced HGV Driver Class 2.
  • Experience driving a tanker.
  • Have a positive, flexible, can‑do attitude.
  • Want to be part of an exciting, growing and progressive business with an increasingly formidable brand presence.
  • Be willing to work occasional/unsociable hours.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Be able to commute to Welshpool every day where the tanker is located.
