Overview of the Drainage Engineer position at Metro Rod Devon, Launceston area. Salary up to £30,000 - £37,000 plus overtime and on-call.
Metro Rod works with various companies in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors. We are a fast-growing and dynamic business, part of an ever-expanding group Franchise Brands. Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis. We’ve been clearing and unblocking drains for more than thirty years and we’re proud of our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customers’ drains.
- Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards.
- Carrying out surveys.
- Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise.
- Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications.
- Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times.
- Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four – variable according to business needs.
Experience / Qualifications:
- High pressure water jetting experience.
- Surveying experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial drainage.
- Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge.
- Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
- Be willing to work some unsociable hours.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Must live in the Devon area.
