Reactive Drainage Engineer — Metro Rod Bedford, Luton & Watford — LU, AL, MK postcode areas — Full time permanent — Salary £30,000 - £42,000 + on-call, overtime & benefits.

We are a fast-growing and dynamic business and part of the Franchise Brands group. Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis.
What’s involved?
- Carry out a range of services associated with our emergency services offering, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance of our customer’s assets new and old.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.
- Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of company service, vehicles and equipment.
- Accurately record completed work details via internal and client systems.
- Communicate effectively to ensure an excellent service is provided at all times.
- Have a positive and helpful can-do attitude.
- Cover normal working hours and “on call” out-of-hours on a rota basis and have a flexible attitude to covering emergency situations when called upon outside of these periods.
What do we look for?
- Suitable candidates will be able to display a great working attitude together with skills pertaining to the clearance, cleaning and repair of both internal small bore and external drainage systems.
- Experience in commercial & domestic Drainage is essential.
- Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, patch lining.
- Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces and CSCS.
- Experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining is an advantage.
- Must have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to be part of an exciting, growing and progressive business.
- Be willing to work occasional / unsociable hours.
- Hold a full UK driving licence – must be over 21 for insurance purposes.
- Must live in the postcode areas noted above.
