Metro Rod Norwich is looking for a Reactive Drainage Engineer to join our team. We offer a full-time permanent position with a salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, including on-call, overtime, and benefits.

We work with various clients in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial, and Leisure sectors. Our company has been providing drain clearance and maintenance services for over 40 years and is part of the Franchise Brands group.

What’s involved?

  • Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains.
  • Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards.
  • Carrying out surveys.
  • Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise.
  • Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps.
  • Communicating effectively with high-profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided.
  • Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year.

What do we look for?

  • Experience in commercial & domestic drainage is essential.
  • Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, patch lining.
  • Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces, and CSCS.
  • Experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining.
  • A positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to work occasional / unsociable hours.
  • A full UK driving licence – must be over 25 for insurance purposes.
