Metrorod West Yorkshire is seeking an HGV Tanker Driver (HGV Class 2) with a pay range of £16-20 per hour plus overtime, working 45+ hours per week. We work with various clients in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial, and Leisure sectors.

Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services. We have over 60 franchisees across the UK, providing quality service and customer satisfaction.

What’s involved?

  • Operating our Bucher Flexline/Cityflex Tanker unit
  • Carrying out a range of services associated with the tankers, including cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of drainage systems
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise
  • Predominantly carrying out pre-planned maintenance works and emergency reactive work

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Prior experience working for a water board using a Cityflex tanker
  • Experience as an HGV Driver Class 2 with sector experience in drainage
  • Strong communication skills
  • IT Literacy including smartphone technology
  • CSCS, HPWJ, Confined Spaces and associated cards (preferred)
  • A positive, flexible, can-do attitude
  • Willingness to work occasional/unsociable hours, weekends/nights
  • A full UK driving licence and HGV Class 2 driving license
  • Team player
