Metro Rod Bedford, Luton & Watford is seeking a reactive Drainage & Excavation Engineer for the LU, AL, MK postcode areas. This is a full-time permanent position with a salary of £30,000 - £42,000 plus on-call, overtime, and benefits.

Metro Rod has been a leading provider of drain clearance and maintenance services for over 40 years, working with major companies in various sectors including FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial, and Leisure.

What's involved?

  • Carry out a range of services associated with our emergency services offering, including cleaning, clearance, repair, installation, and maintenance of customer assets.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.
  • Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of company service, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Accurately record completed work details via internal and client systems.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure excellent service is provided at all times.
  • Have a positive and helpful can-do attitude.
  • Cover normal working hours and "on call" out-of-hours on a rota basis, with a flexible attitude to covering emergency situations when called upon.

What do we look for?

  • Experience in commercial & domestic drainage is essential.
  • Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, and patch lining.
  • Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces, and CSCS.
  • Experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining is an advantage.
  • A positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to work occasional/unsociable hours.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence (must be over 21 for insurance purposes).
  • Must live in the postcode areas noted above.
