Metro Rod Norwich is seeking Drainage Engineers in the Norfolk area with a salary of up to £30,000 - £50,000 DOE, including on-call and overtime plus benefits. We work with major clients such as Tesco, Marks and Spencer, Mitie, Clarion, Axa, and Wetherspoons across various sectors including FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial, and Leisure.

Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis. We have over 60 franchisees providing geographical coverage across the UK and have built a reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.

Due to expansion, we require several Drainage Engineers. The company operates a 24/7 emergency service from its South Norfolk base covering Norfolk and part of Suffolk.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of customers’ drains.
  • Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards.
  • Carrying out surveys.
  • Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise.
  • Accurately recording work/job details via bespoke internal/client systems and apps.
  • Communicating effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues.
  • Being part of an on-call rota to help service clients 24/7 / 365 days a year.

What are we looking for?

  • High pressure water jetting and CCTV Surveying qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge.
  • A positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Willingness to work some unsociable hours.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Must live in the Norfolk area.
