Metro Rod works with a diverse portfolio of clients including Equans, Amey, Aldi, Mitie, Greggs, McDonald’s, Wetherspoons, and others across FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors. We are part of the Franchise Brands group and provide drain clearance and maintenance services across the UK. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who thrives in reactive drainage work and planned civil projects. Responsibilities
- Respond to reactive drainage issues (blockages, backups, faults)
- Perform high-pressure water jetting and drain clearance
- Carry out CCTV surveys and fault diagnosis
- Execute repairs, excavations, and small civil works
- Install and replace drainage systems
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Provide an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
- Accurately record work/job details via bespoke internal/client systems and applications
- Communicate effectively with high-profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in reactive drainage and civil/drainage repairs
- Strong knowledge of drainage systems and fault finding
- Experience with excavation and reinstatement works
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Streetworks (NRSWA) and/or confined space training (desirable)
- Must live in the Carlisle area
