Metro Production Group (MPG) is a leading global live events agency, renowned for crafting immersive, impactful, and high-quality customised experiences. As a dynamic and innovative Creative Events & Production Agency, we consistently push creative boundaries and deliver exceptional results for our diverse client portfolio. We are currently seeking an Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This is an entry-level position where you will play a crucial role in assisting with the seamless planning and organisation of client events.

You will provide comprehensive support across all project phases, including initial proposal development, meticulous supplier management, and essential on-site assistance, all while ensuring successful event delivery and exceptional client experiences. We would like to welcome an individual with a true passion for live events, outstanding organisational skills, a proactive attitude, and a keen eye for detail.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (YOUR IMPACT STARTS HERE)

  • Collaborate closely with Event, Production, and Creative teams to develop compelling proposals that truly capture the client's vision.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative event solutions, themes, and activations, including assisting with mood boards, theming, food & beverage arrangements, entertainment, registration solutions, and comprehensive venue searches.
  • Assist with comprehensive supplier management, encompassing communication coordination, selection, and on-site scheduling.
  • Track expenses and assist with cost reporting to ensure effective event budget management.
  • Effectively manage shared project files, timelines, and communication logs, ensuring clients are kept informed on development progress, proposal versions, and budget updates.
  • Provide essential on-site event support, assisting with seamless setup, registration, guest flow management, and vendor coordination.
  • Undertake general administrative tasks to efficiently support the events team on allocated projects.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

  • Experience: Ideally, 0-6 months of experience gained within hospitality, catering, or administrative roles would be advantageous.
  • Core Skills: Exceptional organisational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Personal Attributes: A high level of attention to detail, a proactive and enthusiastic attitude, and a genuine eagerness to learn and contribute within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Availability: This role requires availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as standard, in line with event schedules.

  • A Bachelor's degree, volunteering or work experience in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or Communications.
  • Proficiency in project-management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana).
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express).
