Metro Plumb is a national plumbing business with more than 40 local depots across the UK. Our teams of professional plumbers can deal with a variety of plumbing issues, from emergency repairs and stopping leaks to fixing broken boilers and replacing dripping taps.
As part of Franchise Brands PLC, our customers benefit from access to over 600 drainage, pump, plumbing and FOG engineers. We provide access to specialist expertise and one point of contact for all drainage, plumbing, pump and FOG works, as well as a unique refrigeration seal replacement offering.
We are seeking a Plumber to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in high-security environments and possess a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving, with a specific focus on gas safety and plumbing systems.
What’s involved?
- Carry out all aspects of plumbing work, including installation and maintenance of toilets, taps, ball valves, siphons, flexible hoses, pipework, radiator valves, cylinders, boilers, heating systems etc across a range of domestic and commercial customers.
- Attend heating and gas emergencies as well as general plumbing installations/leaks/issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs of plumbing and gas systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain gas pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing and gas emergencies.
- Perform inspections of plumbing and gas systems to identify and replace worn parts.
- Ensure compliance with current health and safety standards.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience as a Plumbing/ Plumbing & Heating Engineer for both domestic and commercial customers OR NVQ Level 2 minimum.
- DBS checked (or willingness for this to be carried out).
- Full UK driving license.
- Flexibility to work overtime.
