We are seeking a dedicated female Seamstress & Tailor who is able to multi-task with dry cleaning & laundry duties, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all services are performed efficiently and to the highest standards, contributing to a clean and welcoming environment for our customers. Take dry cleaning items and undertake repairs and alterations. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop within the dry cleaning and laundry industry and work in a professional, team-oriented setting.

Duties

  • Customer service
  • Till and cash management
  • Receive and sort items for dry cleaning
  • Process laundry items including duvets and towels etc.
  • Undertake repair and alterations to garments which is an important key requirement for the role.
  • Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, sewing and ironing equipment safely and effectively
  • Ensure all laundry is cleaned, folded, and stored appropriately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area at all times
  • Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing
  • Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist with additional housekeeping tasks as required to support overall operations of the business.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Previous experience in a dry cleaners, laundrette or laundry environment is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift laundry items when necessary
  • A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
