Due to continued growth within our Airfreight division, we are looking to recruit both an Import Airfreight Coordinator and an Export Airfreight Coordinator at our Heathrow office. The Opportunity As an Airfreight Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing international shipments from start to finish, ensuring a seamless service is delivered to customers, suppliers, overseas partners, and airlines. Working within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you'll play a key role in maintaining Metro's reputation for operational excellence and outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities * Manage airfreight shipments from booking through to final delivery. * Coordinate collections, airline bookings, customs requirements and transport arrangements. * Liaise with customers, airlines, overseas agents, hauliers and suppliers. * Prepare and process all relevant shipping and freight documentation. * Monitor shipment progress and provide proactive updates to customers. * Accurately input job, cost and revenue information into operational systems. * Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners. What We're Looking For * Previous experience within Airfreight Freight Forwarding. * Experience in either Import Airfreight, Export Airfreight, or both. * Ability to manage shipments from start to finish. * Strong understanding of airfreight documentation and operational processes. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Commercial awareness and attention to detail. * Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure. * Experience using CargoWise would be advantageous. * Positive, proactive and team-focused approach.
