Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals in need. Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and physical support to individuals in need
- Assist with daily living activities
- Help individuals with meal preparation and feeding
- Administer medication safely according to care plans and organisational policies.
- Accompany individuals to appointments and activities
- Maintain accurate records of services provided
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
- Monitor and report any changes in an individual’s condition
- Provide a safe and comfortable environment for individuals
Qualifications:
- Relevant vocational qualification in health and social care, or willingness to complete the Care Certificate.
- Previous experience in a care or support role, or a willingness to undertake relevant training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated patience and emotional resilience when managing complex care needs.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and health and safety requirements in a care setting.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
