As our Senior Transformation Programme Director, you will turn ambition into delivery, bringing together senior leaders, strategic partners and cross-functional teams to modernise how Metro Bank serves, operates and grows.
What you will do
- Lead the transformation programme, setting up the delivery rhythm, governance, controls and ways of working needed to move at pace.
- Act as the senior integrator across technology, data, AI, operations, risk, finance, people and business teams, making sure the programme delivers as one enterprise agenda.
- Shape and challenge delivery choices with Ex Co, Board-level stakeholders and strategic partners, bringing clarity to complex trade-offs and decisions.
- Build a single, credible view of milestones, investment, risks, dependencies and benefits, ensuring leaders have the insight they need to act quickly.
- Create the conditions for delivery: clear ownership, strong prioritisation, disciplined execution and the freedom to design better customer and colleague experiences from the ground up.
- Ensure data, AI and technology capabilities are delivered securely, responsibly and in line with customer, conduct, resilience and regulatory expectations.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing programme team, creating a culture of pace, accountability, constructive challenge and responsible risk-taking.

We're looking for people who are energised by ambition, excited by possibility and motivated by the opportunity to help shape what comes next., Extensive experience leading complex, enterprise-wide transformation, programme or portfolio delivery in banking, financial services, Fin Tech or another regulated environment.
- A track record of taking large-scale change from early concept through to structured delivery, measurable outcomes and sustained adoption.
- Confidence operating with Ex Co and Board-level stakeholders, simplifying complexity and influencing strategic decisions with pace and credibility.
- Strong understanding of how technology, data, AI, digital channels, operating model and customer experience come together to deliver commercial value.
- Experience setting up governance, delivery assurance, risk management, benefits tracking and executive reporting across multiple workstreams and sponsors.
- Proven ability to lead senior, cross-functional teams and strategic suppliers through ambiguity, challenge and momentum.
- Sound judgement around regulation, conduct, operational resilience, responsible AI and customer outcomes.
