What you will do:
- Our Commercial Loan Documentation (Lending Fulfilment) Specialists at Metro Bank ensure that corporate and commercial lending facility letters and drawdowns are completed in a timely manner.
- Proactively manage a pipeline of lending casework from sanction date to actual drawdown, development loans, overdrafts, credit cards and BACS facilities.
- Prepare files and instructions to valuers, checking valuations received.
- Prepare loan documentation to ensure all regulatory and sanctioned conditions are adhered to.
- Instruct solicitors ensuring legal due diligence is completed, whilst fulfilling all conditions precedent to a facility drawing down.
- Prepare documentation and files for drawdown making sure all documentation, internal systems CRM and electronic folders are completed accurately and provided for sign-off by mandate holder.
- Deal with post-completion matters including collateral input and security perfection of drawn case, along with other post-completion matters (collateral servicing requests, consents to leases, letters of non-crystallization, Section 106 Agreements, etc.).
- Create and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, including legal firms, and act as a ‘go-to’ on queries relating to lending and security documentation.

What you will need:
- Extensive experience in commercial lending/loan documentation, processes and securities, within a similar banking environment.
- Strong understanding of securities, legal documentation, legal due diligence process and collateral, with confidence to suggest solutions to our front office colleagues when deals snag.
- Confidence, and knowledge, to coach and train colleagues on commercial lending and security documentation.
- To be a self-starter with good use of initiative and the ability to proactively find solutions to problems as they come up.
- A CeMAP, CeCM or DipBB&C qualifications (or equivalent experience, in a legal based role) would be highly beneficial.
