Head of Product Delivery in London

We are seeking an ambitious Product Delivery Lead to drive the next phase of innovation for Metro Bank. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and deliver bold, customer‑led propositions that help define how banking is experienced. You will lead through agile, iterative ways of working, embedding a build‑test‑learn mindset to rapidly address current product gaps and disrupt the market with innovative propositions that create genuine fans. With a strong focus on outcomes, you will turn insight into scalable, high‑impact products. A core enabler for the role is the opportunity to work in a greenfield environment. You will bring ideas to build new propositions, while carefully de‑risking impacts on existing customers and live operations. This balanced approach will allow us to move fast without compromising trust or stability. Partnering closely with technology, design and senior stakeholders, this is a pivotal leadership role for product visionary, where the successful role holder will leapfrog our technology capabilities, accelerate innovation and position the bank for long‑term growth.

Responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end product strategy from inception and measure success, iterating where necessary to deliver intended outcomes.
• Lead the team of Product Owners and non‑tech roles across squads, deploying capacity across squads as needed.
• Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate the story, product roadmap, vision and objectives effectively to key stakeholders and the team.
• Exercise strong decision‑making mandate from the executive group to own product end‑to‑end.
• Lead continuous iteration of EPICs to ensure all items are clearly described and prioritised to achieve milestones.
• Ensure customer‑driven design considering user pain points and usability test results, while using market and industry insights.

Qualifications

• Experience of successfully launching and scaling a digital product to a mass market in a leading position, preferably within the Banking/Fintech space.
• Excellent leadership capability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders and drive strategic decision‑making.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering teams.
• Excellent extended business intelligence skills.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to steer managers and teams to push the solution and progress.
• Strong knowledge of industry trends and pain points to create a high‑value product vision and meet user demands.
• Understanding of the risks associated with the role and what that means for Metro Bank and all stakeholders.
