The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

You will develop and maintain active and influential relationships with key market professionals. Represent the Partnerships team, building our brand reputation in this key marketplace. You will have the ability to generate new business, creating and maintaining a portfolio of Deposits led, Partnerships customers. You will achieve this through business development and promotion of the Metro Bank brand and products.

You need to be able to build key relationships with other departments such as Customer Propositions, Treasury, Financial Crime Risk & Controls and Regional Teams. You will work with Financial Crime Risk & Control and Financial Crime Policy Team to ensure we identify and manage the operational risks of your customer portfolio in line with the Bank’s standards and policies.

You will lead by example and set the tone as an advocate of Metro Bank and everything we stand for when dealing with customers, intermediaries and colleagues. You will split your time between business developing and relationship managing Deposits. And... we are a bank so risk is a part of everything we do. What you will need:

  • You will understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders.
  • You will have business development/ rapport building skills.
  • You will have relationship management and stakeholder management skills.
  • You will have strong understanding of relevant business sectors.
  • You will have strong risk awareness.
  • You will have excellent knowledge of the Deposits industry and similar sectors and how these perform both financially and structurally with experience and intuition in decision making.
  • You will be experienced in winning business in this sector and managing a portfolio (Portfolio starts very small & build from scratch. Can either hand off clients or own & grow the portfolio).
  • You will have a track record of generating new business.
  • You will have a track record of driving performance through others.
  • You will manage multiple responsibilities within a quick and ever changing environment with the ability to prioritise and negotiate constantly.
  • You will have direct involvement with developing relationships both internally and externally at a range of different seniority levels.

  • If you have joined from outside, you will have held a similar role in another organisation with the ability to demonstrate excellent customer relation skills and business development.
