What you will do:
- Create and maintain a portfolio of Commercial Banking customers.
- Achieve this through business development and promotion of the Metro Bank brand and products.
- Build key relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrate ability to maximise the customer relationship whilst being compliant during customer interactions with awareness of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
- Make lending decisions to support Metro Bank's business objectives whilst reinforcing the correct Metro Bank operational processes and ensuring we get things right the first time for the customer.
- Responsible for credit risk and financial crime risk of your portfolio.
- Ability to generate new business.

Excellent communication and customer/client relationship management with the ethos of providing exceptional customer service. A self‑starter, motivated to meet or exceed your own personal and business objectives. Ability to build rapport internally and externally. Sound knowledge of commercial banking. Detailed knowledge and understanding of the products we offer. Ability to understand and write credit papers to the required level. Awareness of financial crime and 'what good looks like'.
