What You Will Do
- Support both the ABL Business Development and Relationship Management teams, enabling the ABL/invoice finance business to win new business and support existing customers.
- Attend meetings with ABL Business Development Directors (BDDs) to understand new business opportunities and support progress through the pipeline.
- Provide backâoffice support to the BDDs, including reviewing searches for credit or business risk (including financial crime), assisting in the writeâup of AFCs (Credit papers), completing CRGA (risk weighting tool) and the CRA (Customer Risk Assessment).
- Review and analyse financial statements.
- Take on the process following a successful credit sanction through to completion, including the Takeâon Checklist (TOCL), interacting with outgoing invoice financiers, scheduling the transfer, updating the pipeline and liaising with stakeholders.
- Assist ABL Relationship Directors with existing customer facility increases, reviewing and processing BBC (Borrowing Base Certificate), analysing financial information, covenant monitoring, and meeting with customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (credit, business development, relationship management, senior leadership, support team).

- Existing knowledge of Invoice Finance or Asset Based Lending, with experience handling high volumes and managing workloads.
- Exceptional relationshipâbuilding skills across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong eye for detail, especially with data protection and AML regulation.
- Inquiring mindset, understanding of balance sheets, P&L and cash flows.
- Excellent prioritisation and workload management across different applications and customers.
- Effective diary management.
- Understanding of risks associated with your role and the impact on Metro Bank and stakeholders.
