Our Lead Product Owner is responsible for overseeing the run and change of key journeys which are critical to the success of our business and creating FANs.
What you will do:
- Owning the strategic direction for a range of journeys across the bank ā including owning the roadmap and vision and defining the metrics to measure success.
- Defining, prioritising and sequencing backlog of user stories, and working with cross-functional feature teams to bring new propositions and features to life.
- Keeping your āfinger on the pulseā of trends and opportunities, via customer research and market analysis.
- Developing and owning business cases, as well as tracking and optimising benefits and KPIs.
- Working with communications teams to develop how best to articulate new releases to customers, colleagues and media.
- Orchestrating the support of teams around the business to create sustainable end-to-end success of your work. This includes robust risk management.
- Point of escalation for all business and operational issues and opportunities related to the propositions you develop.
- You will take on the role in shaping and then delivering the range of journeys and capabilities. You are customer-driven, commercial and can inspire others to bring your vision to life.

What you will need:
- Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders.
- Proven experience in building iterative roadmaps centred around the customer and a track record of delivering value into the hands of our FANS and users in an Agile Framework.
- Experience of breaking down large scale/new projects into a series of deliverables (MVP) which deliver value and can be measured by appropriate data capture and monitoring.
- Be a data insight & analytics guru with extensive experience of working with data across Product.
- To be an experienced product owner, able to lead a host of colleagues across Metro; technology, change, digital, legal, procurement, design, risk, marketing.
- Youāll be able to develop and sustain relationships with a range of external partners.
- Hold a breadth of skills make you a true product all-rounder, able to master the propositional, commercial, analytical, technical and operational elements of proposition development.
- You are comfortable working on problem statements or KPIs set by your stakeholders and transforming them into features ready for prioritisation.
