What you will do:

  1. Continue to develop Metro Bank’s partnership and sponsorship strategy in line with the brand strategy.
  2. Lead, develop and manage Metro Bank’s partnership with the ECB across community, domestic & international cricket and any future partnerships the bank undertakes.
  3. Be the primary point of contact for Metro Bank with the ECB, governing bodies and agency partners.
  4. Lead the strategic delivery of contracted assets across international, domestic and community cricket.
  5. Lead strategic thinking and delivery for the partnership across brand and partnership campaigns and The Metro Bank Girls in Cricket Fund, our co-designed and co-funded initiative with the ECB aiming to increase the number of girls cricket teams across England and Wales.
  6. Influence rights holders and governing bodies to forward the women’s game with the goal to make cricket a more gender balanced sport.
  7. Lead cross-functional go-to-market teams including stakeholders from brand, social media, external comms, internal comms, events, product, distribution, CRM and our in-house studio.
  8. Manage & lead our sponsorship agency relationship including strategy development, campaign development, contract and budget management.
  9. Manage & implement FCA compliant ticketing process.
  10. Manage the tracking and reporting of the partnership against the stated objectives and KPIs.
  11. Be the ambassador for the partnership across the bank at all levels including c-suite and driving colleague engagement.
  12. Be the main point of contact for local sponsorship requests from across the bank and manage accordingly in line with the bank’s sponsorship strategy.
  13. Line manage the Partnerships Manager, creating clear roles and responsibilities between the Head of Partnerships and Manager and fostering a high-performing teams environment to enable them to thrive.

What you will need:

  1. Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders.
  2. Extensive experience in sports partnership or sponsorship management and activation and working with rights holders to create short, medium and long term plans.
  3. Strong experience working on campaign development and activations ensuring alignment to brand strategy and consistency across touchpoints.
  4. Experience in content marketing from strategy development, production through to amplification.
  5. Passionate about women’s sport and making a difference in transforming the game from grassroots to elite.
  6. Strong industry knowledge of women’s sports, the barriers and opportunities and key influencers.
  7. You will be analytical, with good experience using data and insight to create strategic plans that deliver the partnership strategy, drive growth and community impact.
  8. Skilled at working alongside multiple and senior stakeholders with a proven ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
  9. Experienced in working with finite budgets and resources and delivering high quality work within deadlines.
  10. Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills, including c-suite level.
