About Metris Energy
At Metris, we're on a mission to accelerate the energy transition by helping solar owners manage their asset(s) autonomously with AI. Today, our platform delivers real-time data on thousands of solar projects across the UK and automates time-consuming tasks involved in solar management such as monitoring, fault detection, reporting and billing. Next, Metris is building proprietary AI to deliver autonomous operation of small-scale renewables.
The Role
At Metris, we don’t just want to ‘sell software’, we want to enable our customers to scale their solar portfolios faster. We’re looking for a Solutions Consultant to join the team and act as the technical bridge between our product and our customers. Our Solutions Consultants play a critical role in making sure that our customers are successful and our product delivers maximum value.
As a Solutions Consultant you’ll work closely with sales, product and support teams to design and implement solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring successful onboarding and long-term adoption of our platform. Our product is technical and the most successful candidate will be as comfortable debugging data queries as speaking to customers. As the second hire in this team, you have the opportunity to help build the implementation function from the ground up, design processes and have hands-on responsibility for working with our most important customers.
What You'll Do
- Primary ownership of customer implementation. Lead implementation of the Metris solution end-to-end from data migration and integrations to feature delivery.
- Work closely with customers to identify areas of continuous improvement and optimise customer workflows.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to communicate customer needs and influence roadmap.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support during pre- and post-sales stages.
- Join late stage sales calls, understand customer requirements and design tailored implementation solutions.
- Where required, deliver product demos, technical presentations and support on commercial proposals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring they maximise value from our product.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 4+ years work experience as a solutions engineer or technical consultant with a track record in delivering complex projects/deals and experience in working closely with senior clients/customers.
- Technical: Comfortable with data, workflows and technical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on mindset: You get ‘stuck-in’, work hard and enjoy going above and beyond.
- Pre & post-sales: You excel at both sales and project management. You understand the full customer journey end-to-end, can design processes that scale and are in the front-line for delivery.
- Industry knowledge: SaaS experience is a must; renewable energy experience is a bonus.
- Communication: Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Crucially, you can also listen well, understand customer pain points, and frame solutions persuasively.
Why Join Metris
- Join a fast growing, mission-driven company accelerating the energy transition.
- Shape the entire implementation function from the ground up.
- Flexible working arrangements: 30 days work from anywhere, 3 days/week in office (2 days hybrid).
The Process
Please submit an application before the 23:59 31st May 2026: We are looking to extend an offer in June with flexible start dates possible (July-September). Our process will evaluate the range of skills required for this role from data to customer handling. We like to be upfront with our interview processes so candidates can best commit time:
