The Role is situated within the marketing data science team, focusing on improving the utilisation of vast amounts of customer data to enhance marketing efforts at an individual level. As a lead data scientist, you will be responsible for measuring marketing campaigns and recommending changes to make them more targeted, including working on the contact strategy for half a billion targeted marketing emails sent annually. You will also build models to better understand customers and develop recommender systems to ensure product offerings are as targeted as possible.
This opportunity is not a line management role, but you will coach the team in developing new models and tools. You will lead the way in data science for this company, managing the transformation from SQL Server to AWS, and advising on the use of R and Python to improve customer targeting. Additionally, you will liaise with key stakeholders across the business to persuade them on the implementation of developed models.
