A well-funded, New York-headquartered technology start-up building an AI-native platform for the capital markets industry.
Following strong early traction in the US, the business is expanding internationally and is looking to appoint its first dedicated sales hire in EMEA .
The Role
This is a senior individual contributor role with responsibility for building and growing the business across the UK and European markets.
The focus is firmly on new business development .
The successful candidate will bring an established network across capital markets, but importantly must remain a true hunter who is comfortable originating opportunities, building pipeline from the ground up and winning new logos.
Responsibilities will include
- Own new client acquisition across the UK and European markets.
- Develop relationships across banks, hedge funds, asset managers and other institutional market participants.
- Build pipeline through a combination of existing relationships and proactive outbound business development.
- Manage the full sales process from initial engagement through commercial negotiation and close.
- Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
- Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline with disciplined forecasting.
- Work closely with product and technical teams throughout the sales process.
- Help establish repeatable sales processes as the EMEA business scales.
- Candidate Profile
- Strong track record selling enterprise technology, software, analytics or infrastructure into capital markets .
- Demonstrable success originating and closing six-figure+ ACV deals , typically involving
6-12 month enterprise sales cycles .
- Established network across the UK and European buy-side and/or sell-side.
- A genuine new-business hunter , with evidence of independently creating pipeline and winning new logos.
- Experience navigating complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
- Consistent history of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
Strong career tenure and progression , without a pattern of frequent short-term moves.
- Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor rather than moving into a management-focused role.
- Able to operate effectively within a lean, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- Prior experience working within a bank, asset manager, hedge fund or other capital markets institution would be highly regarded.
- Start-up or high-growth technology experience would be advantageous.
