We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented HR Advisor to support our People team across both our UK and US operations. This role will be responsible for supporting across the full employee life cycle, providing practical HR guidance to managers and employees, ensuring HR policies are applied consistently and employee legislation is adhered to. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling business, who can manage multiple priorities with discretion and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations & General Support
- Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment law
- Manage employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues, escalating where appropriate
- Support payroll and reporting changes for promotions, pay rises, and job changes in TriNet
- Efficiently manage employment immigration processes
- Coordinate onboarding processes across the UK and US, including system setup, first-day prep, and orientation schedules
- Manage offboarding logistics, including documentation, exit interviews, and systems access
- Prepare and maintain regular HR reports, e.g. headcount, pay changes, starters/leavers
- Coordinate data and documentation required for audits or payroll accuracy
- Support HR projects and ad hoc tasks as needed
- Issue contracts of employment and offer letters (UK & US)
- Track and manage timesheets, time-off approvals, and updates for US staff
- Maintain employee records and data in BambooHR
- Support general HRIS administration, reporting, and compliance checks
Key Experience / Skills Required:
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Sound judgement and ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident working in a fast-paced or change-driven environment
- Familiarity with BambooHR and/or TriNet highly desirable
- CIPD level 5 qualified or equivalent experience
