Metric Bio is working with an innovative medical technology organisation seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join their on-site engineering team in Oxford. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys working across the full stack in a safety-critical environment. You’ll contribute to both clinical and messaging platforms, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver high-quality, scalable digital solutions.
The technology environment is predominantly Microsoft/Azure-based, with modern front-end frameworks and a strong focus on connected devices and data-intensive systems.
Key responsibilities include:- Building and maintaining web and application platforms using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Developing and supporting backend services, APIs, and integrations within an Azure environment
- Contributing to messaging and clinical applications, including future platform evolution
- Working with IoT-generated data, including time-series and event-based streams
- Supporting engineering best practices in a regulated, safety-critical context
- Strong full stack development experience
- React experience essential; experience with .NET, SQL, and Azure highly desirable
- Exposure to cloud services, APIs, and data-driven systems
- Experience in regulated or safety-critical domains (medical devices, fintech, defence, rail, automotive, etc.)
- A mature engineering mindset with a strong understanding of quality, standards, and what world-class engineering looks like.
