Metrea's UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Market Development Team is responsible for developing a pipeline that leverages all of our Enterprise capabilities and creating compelling bids and proposals that maximize PWin and value creation by demonstrating Metrea's ability to understand our customer's most wicked problems and develop a compelling, compliant and elegant solution.
This role leverages your breadth of experience in the Defence domain to design and develop elegant solutions to the hardest problems in aerospace (civil and military, manned and unmanned). This will include prospects in ISR, AAR, Aerial Fire Fighting, Cyber & Electromagnetic Activities and Digital & Synthetic services. You will have a deep understanding of Air domain effects, sensors and capabilities, the missions they are employed within and the markets and customers that require them.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering winning strategies and proposals for national security customers including the UK Ministry of Defence, NATO, and allied partners. You will also be expected to work closely with your fellow Market Development leads across the full range of Metrea products and services to support capture and bid activity ensure that our solutions match the needs of emerging technology portfolios.
You will lead the capture activity of complex bids and generate compelling and compliant proposals that maximize our p(Win). You will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of solutions against customer requirements and emerging markets from potential to prospect to program. You will take solutions that you have worked on from design to development and then transition to delivery, including leading the bids and proposal process.
You will receive training in the Metrea Solution Framework, which ensures our solutions are elegant, adaptive, value accretive and market shaping. You will progress to become recognised as a Metrea Solutions Architect, able to support teammates across the Enterprise in using the Solution Framework.
Role And Responsibilities
- Lead capture activity from early customer engagement through to contract award.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Defence and the EMEA region.
- Shape opportunities and influence requirements to position Metrea effectively and maximise PWin.
- Own proposal strategy and generation, providing clear direction to SMEs, bid writers, finance, legal, and investment teams.
- Define win strategies, value propositions, and written proposal content.
- Support internal reviews and approval processes.
- Identify and coordinate strategic partnerships or teaming arrangements.
Skills And Experience
- 10 years+ combined experience in Aerospace and Defence conducting Market Development and/or capture planning.
- Broad experience of Air domain missions. Emphasis is on Manned Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (MAISR), experience of broader Air domain mission sets e.g. Aerial Fire Fighting, Air to Air Refueling, Strategic Transport and Mobility is desirable.
- Experienced in supporting complex Air domain bids and proficient in both generating and coordinating the production of quality technical content.
- Market Development experience with an understanding of the aerospace and defence market in the EMEA region is essential.
- The ability to create high quality, technical written work to a deadline in support of bids and proposals is essential.

This is a full‐time non‐exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs.

Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting. Regular travel required to support our capture planning across the EMEA region. Travel elsewhere for workshops and Enterprise activities is also expected.
