Your role will encompass:

  • Develop and implement the project cost management strategy aligned with overall Project Controls objectives
  • Lead all cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities across the project lifecycle
  • Monitor project expenditures and commitments, ensuring alignment with approved budgets
  • Identify cost deviations, assess impacts, and support the development of recovery and mitigation plans
  • Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to Project and Senior Management
  • Work closely with Project Planners to ensure alignment between cost and schedule performance (earned value approach)
  • Establish and manage cost tracking systems, including progress measurement and reporting frameworks
  • Support contract administration and claims management by providing cost-related analysis and documentation
  • Ensure accurate cost allocation, financial tracking, and compliance with internal financial procedures

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Project Management
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset
  • Professional certification in Cost Management / Project Controls is a strong advantage
  • Strong experience in project cost control within large-scale energy or infrastructure projects
  • Excellent knowledge of cost management tools and financial reporting practices
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Experience with Primavera (cost & progress integration) will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of contract and claims management principles
  • Excellent command of the English language
