Through our M Renewables Division, we develop, construct and operate utility-scale renewable energy projects across international markets, supporting the global transition to clean energy.
As our renewable portfolio continues to grow across the UK, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of utility-scale Solar PV projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
Reporting to the Projects Director, you will take full responsibility for delivering utility-scale solar EPC projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with engineering, construction, procurement, finance and HSE teams, you will coordinate all aspects of project execution while managing relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced renewable energy professional who enjoys leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of utility-scale Solar PV projects from project mobilisation through to completion and handover.
- Manage project scope, programme, budget, quality and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes and monitor progress against key milestones.
- Coordinate internal engineering, procurement, construction and commercial teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Review technical documentation and collaborate with engineering teams to optimise project designs.
- Support project budgeting, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations and contract administration.
- Oversee site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently.
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise programme and commercial impacts.
- Ensure full compliance with company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) standards.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, developers, suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Prepare regular project progress reports for both internal management and clients.
- Coordinate project commissioning activities and successful handover to the Operations & Maintenance team.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or a related engineering discipline).
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering medium to large-scale utility Solar PV EPC projects (5MW+).
- Proven experience managing renewable energy projects through the full EPC lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of construction management, project controls and contract administration.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of MS Project and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
